Peer Review Guidelines
The Agriculture Association of Textile Chemical and Critical Reviews Journal (AATCC Review) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scientific excellence. To ensure this, we employ a rigorous double-blind peer review process, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review.
1. Initial Manuscript Submission
2. Preliminary Editorial Assessment (1–2 Weeks)
The editorial team conducts an initial screening to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to our formatting and ethical guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors without external review.
3. Assignment to Handling Editor (1 Week)
Suitable manuscripts are assigned to a handling editor with expertise in the relevant field. The handling editor evaluates the manuscript’s scientific merit and determines its suitability for peer review.
4. Selection of Reviewers and Peer Review Process (6–8 Weeks)
The handling editor selects two to three independent experts to review the manuscript. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
Originality and Significance: Does the study offer new insights or advancements in the field?
Methodological Rigor: Are the research design and methods appropriate and well-executed?
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Are the results analyzed correctly and interpreted logically?
Clarity and Organization: Is the manuscript well-written and structured coherently?
References and Citations: Are relevant and recent works appropriately cited?
Reviewers provide detailed feedback and recommend one of the following:
Accept without revisions
Minor revisions
Major revisions
Reject
5. Editorial Decision and Author Notification (2–4 Weeks)
Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the handling editor makes a decision. Authors are notified of the decision along with the reviewers’ comments. If revisions are required, authors are given a specified time-frame to submit the revised manuscript.
6. Revision and Re-evaluation (2–4 Weeks)
Revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the handling editor and, if necessary, by the original reviewers to ensure that all concerns have been addressed satisfactorily.
7. Final Decision and Publication (4–6 Weeks)
Once the manuscript meets all editorial and reviewer standards, it is accepted for publication. The manuscript then undergoes copy-editing, typesetting, and proofreading before being published in the journal.
