Abstract
Information and Communication Technologies, have rapidly evolved in recent years, influencing
various aspects of our lives like work, sports and education and a significant number of people
restructured Information and Communication Technologies as a catalyst for change. The COVID-19
pandemic brought significant changes worldwide, particularly in education. Due to a strict lockdown,
resulted in closure of all educational institutions, the teachers relied heavily on Information and
Communication Technology tools to maintain teaching and monitor students' progress remotely. The
purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of COVID-19's effects on education, utilization of
Information and Communication Technology in education, role of Information and Communication
Technologies in education, different Information and Communication Technology tools used during
covid-19, perception of Information and Communication Technology users, benefits of e-learning
during covid-19 for students and teachers as well as factors affecting online classes during pandemic
(encouraging and hindering).
